Privacy Policy
Effective September 26, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Airfive Inc., doing business as samething (“samething,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit https://samething.lol or use our product-research, comparison, sponsored-listing, newsletter, and related services (the “Services”). Airfive Inc. is the company responsible for your personal information under applicable law.
This Policy applies to visitors, search users, newsletter subscribers, account holders, advertisers, and anyone whose information is submitted to the Services. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
2. Information we collect
Search and research information. We collect the URLs, domains, product names, search terms, and refresh requests you submit, along with the comparisons, similarity estimates, build economics, and prompts generated in response. We may cache research results so they can be delivered more quickly to you and other users.
Account information. If you create an advertiser account or sign in, we collect your email address, account identifier, authentication information, and related account activity. If you use a third-party sign-in provider, we receive the information that provider makes available to us, such as your email address and basic profile information.
Sponsored-listing information. Advertisers provide product names, URLs, pitches, price notes, founder statements, keywords, targeting URLs, listing status, and related performance data such as impressions and clicks. Listing content is intended to appear publicly in relevant search results.
Payment information. Our third-party payment processor handles payment-card information. We receive limited transaction information, such as the product purchased, subscription status, customer and transaction identifiers, amount, billing period, and payment confirmation. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
Newsletter and communications. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address, subscription status, and related engagement data provided by our email service. If you contact us, we collect the information in your message.
Usage, analytics, and device information. We automatically collect information such as pages visited, searches performed, features used, sponsored-listing impressions and clicks, approximate timestamps, referring pages and marketing attribution, IP address, browser and device characteristics, cookies, session identifiers, and diagnostic or error data.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide searches and generate comparisons; retrieve and analyze public web content; produce similarity estimates, build economics, and prompts; cache and improve results; create and secure accounts; process payments and manage subscriptions; display, target, and measure sponsored listings; operate the newsletter; attribute purchases to marketing channels; communicate about accounts and purchases; detect fraud and abuse; monitor, debug, secure, and improve the Services; comply with law; and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. AI and web-research processing
The product names, URLs, public page content, and related context used in a search may be processed by third-party web-research and artificial-intelligence providers acting on our behalf. These providers help retrieve public content, identify alternatives, summarize product information, estimate similarity and build effort, and generate starter prompts.
Do not submit confidential information or personal information that is not needed for a product comparison. Search results and submitted product names or URLs may be cached and reused because product research generally concerns public commercial information.
5. How we share information
Service providers. We share information with vendors that help us provide hosting, databases, authentication, web research, AI processing, payments, subscription management, analytics, attribution, email newsletters, communications, security, and error monitoring. They may process information only as needed to provide their services to us under their applicable agreements.
Public listings. Sponsored-listing details supplied for publication—including the product name, URL, pitch, price note, founder statement, and paid-placement label—may be displayed publicly. Aggregated or non-identifying performance statistics may be shown to advertisers or used to operate the Services.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of samething, users, third parties, or the public, including for fraud and abuse prevention.
Business transfers. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy and applicable law.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember whether certain notices have appeared, count searches, maintain sessions, understand usage, measure sponsored listings, prevent fraud, and attribute purchases to marketing channels. Our analytics and payment partners may also set or read identifiers for these purposes.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies or browser storage may prevent sign-in, checkout, attribution, or other parts of the Services from working correctly.
7. Email and newsletter choices
If you join our newsletter, we send your email address to our email-newsletter provider so it can manage your subscription and deliver messages. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in a newsletter. We may still send non-marketing messages that are necessary for an account, transaction, security issue, or legal notice.
8. Data retention and international processing
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Services, maintain research caches, manage accounts and subscriptions, measure listings, enforce limits, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and reporting obligations. Search and research records may be retained after a browser session ends. Listing and transaction records may be retained after cancellation when required for legitimate business or legal purposes.
Information may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from those where you live. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required by law or reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, billing records, legal claims, or other legitimate purposes.
Depending on where you live, including California, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have additional rights to know or access personal information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, and appeal or complain to a data-protection authority. You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising applicable rights.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may opt out of newsletter marketing using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter. Browser controls may be used to limit cookies, subject to the functionality described above.
11. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Advertiser accounts and sponsorship purchases are for adults who are at least 18 or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. Third-party websites and services
Search results, sponsored listings, and other parts of the Services link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy, security, or data practices. Their own policies govern information you provide to them. A link, comparison, or sponsored placement does not mean we control or endorse a third party.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by law, such as by posting the updated Policy with a new effective date or notifying account holders through the Services or by email.
